Willem Dijk supplies selected products under their own brand WD: Werkelijk Delicaat (Truly Delicate). Fruit and vegetables in the Werkelijk Delicaat brand are characterized by an excellent total quality. Each and every one is a smooth product full of flavour that we supply in an attractive and robust, fitting packaging. WD products are specially grown for Willem Dijk. 

WD fruits and vegetables:

• Topped turnip without root, string beans and green beans;
  
• Elstar apples, Jonagold apples and Conference pears;
  
• Lollo Rosso, Lollo Bionda, oakleaf and Romanasla;
  
• Strawberries and blueberries;
  
• Complete package of oranges and tangerines.

Filosofo

Willem Dijk has been importing citrus from FILOSOFO in the south of Spain since 2006. A well organized company that only works with the best citrus from different growers. Willem Dijk selects the best products from this top assortment. Varying from Navelina to Valencia-Late and from Ortanique to Clementina and lemons. 

Our buyers are unanimously positive about this. No wonder, as the quality of the FILOSOFO citrus is very high. The fruit is heavily packaged, well sorted and tastes delicious. 

Oranges

Sunny Spain is ideal for citrus fruits. The climate in the Huerta de Valencia lends itself especially well to the cultivation of the best and juiciest oranges. The region is famous worldwide for its orange harvest. The conditions for the fruits are so good that six harvests a year are no exception. Enough reason for Willem Dijk to get quality oranges for its buyers here. 

Tangerines

The Spanish region of Catalonia rests against the Mediterranean Sea and has a mild, sunny climate. A tangerine couldn’t wish for better conditions. The result: juicy tangerines full of flavour. Willem Dijk is one of the few fruit importers in the Netherlands to import these delicious tangerines. 

Lemons

Our tasty lemons are from Murcia, Alicante. This Spanish region has a very hot and dry climate with the exception of the autumn, when it rains a lot. This is exactly what lemons need: wet roots in dry air. This climate isn’t present anywhere else. 

From Spain to The Netherlands

The Filosofo fruit is packaged in traditional wooden boxes or blue EPS trays. The tangerines and oranges packaged in netting are always supplied in blue EPS trays. We unload straight from Spain to Willem Dijk in Enschede multiple times per week from there we supply the retail, cutting companies, traders, various supermarket organizations and fellow wholesalers. 

Zuid Fruit

ZuidFruit is grown in Andalusia, the most southern province in Spain. The ZuidFruit production consists of  juicing oranges (Salustiana) and eating oranges (from Navelina to Valencia-Late). The eating oranges are harvested until mid April, the start of May. The sweet taste of the fruit is mainly due to the citrus being grown on the higher mountain tops of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It is cold at night here and the sun shines in abundance during the day. The packaging station is in Palma del Rio, where the ZuidFruit is packaged specially for Willem Dijk as a private label. 

Südtirol appels

Willem Dijk has been importing Südtiroler Apfel from the V.O.G (South Tirol Fruit Cooperation) since 2009. This organization is located in the Etschtal between Bolzano and Merano. In this area the sun shines for an average of 300 days per year. This makes the location a perfect place to grow and harvest apples naturally. This harvest is of a constant quality as far as taste, colour and shelf life is concerned. 

The apples are stored in so-called DCA cells. This guarantees the good condition of the apple and makes it taste like it was harvested today. 

Our assortment consists of: Pink Lady, Royal Gala, Braeburn, Golden Delicious , Granny Smith, Flavor Rose, Kanzi, Rubens and Fuji.
